Why does my car battery keep losing charge even when I barely use any electronics?

I spent the better part of last month trying to figure out why my car battery kept weak feeling in the mornings even though I wasn't doing anything obviously wrong. I do not leave the lights on, I do not sit in the car with the engine off running the air conditioning, and I do not have any aftermarket gadgets drawing power that I know of. So when the battery started struggling to turn the engine over properly I was completely stumped and a little angry because I couldn't point to a single clear mistake I had made. A friend suggested I get a proper diagnostic check done rather than just replacing the battery again and that turned out to be really good advice. The technician who looked at it started talking about hidden battery drain causes that has nothing to do with how you use the car consciously but are changed related to the environment the car sits in and small electrical draws that happen automatically in the background even when everything appears to be switched off. Things like the alarm system, the central locking module, and even certain infotainment systems continue drawing tiny amounts of power around the clock and in most situations that is completely manageable but when combined with other stressors like extreme heat or poor parking conditions it can tip a battery that is already slightly weakened into failing faster than expected. Living in Abu Dhabi and parking in an underground structure every day apparently adds another layer to this because of how those environments trap heat and humidity in ways that quietly accelerate wear on the battery and its connections over time. I read quite a bit about this afterward and the combination of passive electrical drain plus the specific conditions of Dubai and UAE basement parking structures was something I truly had never thought to connect before. It all made sense once I understood how these different factors work together rather than in isolation. Getting a trickle charger to use on weekends now and already feeling more in control of the situation.
