RWA tokenization runs several checks, from onboarding an investor to transfers and settlements. Investor verification typically runs through a KYC/AML provider integrated with the platform, rather than being built from scratch. When an investor signs up, the provider checks identity documents, screens against sanctions and PEP (politically exposed person) lists, and confirms the investor's jurisdiction and accreditation status where relevant. Once verification passes, the system writes the result on-chain as a signed claim, tied to the investor's wallet address through an identity registry contract.

From that point, every transfer involves that wallet checks the claim automatically before execution. This matters because eligibility isn't static. Accreditation status can lapse, sanctions lists can be updated, and many regulatory regimes require periodic re-verification. The minute logic behind it what brings more secure and challenging on building in your contract design. Claim expiry is what is least prioritized when building. An expired claim should be treated as no claim. Usually, KYC claims expire based on the investor tier(professional, retail, etc), and after expiry, they should re-apply for verification; then, after attestation from the KYC provider, the claim gets added.

Now you've understood how the investor verification process is crucial in the RWA projects. So, discuss every integral element before starting your procedures with your RWA tokenization development company to cover loose ends, if any.
