I've been following the world of music production for a while now, and every time a new virtual instrument or plugin is released, I see the same excited chatter on social media. "Oh, this one's going to change the game!" or "It's the most realistic synth yet!" And honestly, most of the time, it just feels like more of the same. I think the answer lies in our relationship with novelty. We've been conditioned to crave new things, to seek out the latest and greatest, and to discard what's old and familiar.
